GW-9404KJ-3JR Love The SEA and The Earth
G-SHOCK has been producing collaboration watches with environmental conservation groups and have been supporting them for years. Rangeman GW-9404KJ-3JR is a G-SHOCK’s collaboration watch with “EARTHWATCH” and is a 2019 model of the Love The Sea And The Earth Series.
The watch has a green band with camouflage patterns on it and the case has distinctive light and dark streaks. It was designed to resemble the color characteristics of a bird called Kakapo, an endangered and indigenous bird that lives in New Zealand. One of the impressive points you might notice when you take a look for a moment is that Gold-yellowish colors are used for the crown and on the buttons on the case. There is a EARTHWATCH’s slogan, “Change the World. Yourself.” logo on the band and a symbol mark for “Love The Sea And The Earth” is engraved on the back plate. The box has the similar patterns that the band has, but it looks rather like birds’ feathers or rain forest leaves. It is certainly a box that you want to keep intact with the watch.
The based Rangeman GW-9400 was designed and developed for uses in harsh environments such as rain forest, jungle and dens forest. GW-9404KJ-3JR certainly embodies the concept of Rangeman watches and fits in with the impression of EARTHWATCH/ Kakapo. A very distinctive collaboration watch which you would hardly find something similar.
