Casio has announced to release a metal camouflage G-SHOCK GMW watch on November, according to the Watchnavi article.

When you think of camouflage g-shock watches, some printed patterns on resin materials may come into your mind but GMW-B5000TCM-1JR is something very different from that. The watch mostly consists of metal materials but has unique camouflage patterns on the titanium parts. Instead of printing, they have used laser engraving technologies to make that pattern on the watch. Apparently, when they make that pattern, they apply a DLC process at first and then make light and shade by engraving it using three different sizes of dots. The laser engraving technologies themselves are not something new but the designers have struggled how to make this kind of pattern on the titanium material using laser.

As the model number indicates the GMW-B5000TCM-1JR  is based on GMW-B5000 series and has the same key function such as smartphone link, radio control Multiband6 and solar powered movement. Smartphone link helps the watch maintain its accuracy by receiving the time from your smartphone and updates the time automatically when it changes. Multiband 6 is the Wave Ceptor radio technology which enables reception of radio from six signals (one in Germany, the UK, the USA and China and two in Japan) to keep the watch always accurate.

At the same timing Casio will be releasing a sister model, MTG-B1000DCM-1AJR, which has the similar metal camouflage. Most camouflage watches tends to become popular but rare among G-SHOCK fans. Similarly, both metal camouflage are expected to be become popular and may become very rare once the production ends.
