GPR-B1000TLC-1JR RANGEMAN TEAM LAND CRUISER TOYOTA AUTO BODY Collaboration

GPR-B1000TLC-1JR is a G-SHOCK collaboration model with TEAM LAND CRUISER TOYOTA AUTO BODY released in May 2018 for Japan domestic markets. The based Rangeman GPR-B1000 watches were first released in March 2018, meaning that this collaboration is Rangeman GPR-B1000 series’ first collaboration.

GPR-B1000TLC-1JR has the same the function as GPR-B1000 series such as smart phone link, GPS Signal Reception and tough solar. In terms of appearance, one of the obvious characteristics that the both watches have in common is that it has a large case compared to other G-SHOCK watches. Just to give an example, Rangeman GW-9400J-1JF has a size of 55.2×53.5×18.2mm but GPR-B1000TLC-1JR has a size of 60.3×57.7×20.2mm, which is considerably larger than the former Rangeman model. But thanks to that size, the watch has a wide display which make it easier to view the time, GPS navigation, menu page, and so on.

The blue band and white /red accent color represents the Toyota team color and there is a team logo near by the joint on the band and this impressive design should certainly attract Toyota fans. The box is also impressive; it has a cool “TLC (Toyota Land Cruiser)” logo on both inside and outside box. For the inside box, there is a Toyota land cruiser illustration in front, which may be a very distinctive characteristic that may not been seen any other G-shock watches.

Limited numbers has been produced and it is now very rare. You would hardly find one even in Japan domestic markets. Casio’s suggested retail price is 100,000 JPY but should you find one in stores, it would probably price 150,000 JPY. This indicates the popularity of this watch.
